Commando 3 Movie Review: Treat For Adrenaline Junkies
A London-based extremist is brainwashing India’s Muslim youth and urging them to execute a deadly terror attack in India. As the Indian agencies come to know about it, they reach out to their brave Commando Karan Singh Dogra to foil the enemy’s attack. Karan leaves for London along with a female agent and there they are joined by two agents of British Intelligence. How they trace the unknown terrorist and thwart his plans forms the rest of the plot. The film is a treat for action lovers and the best thing is that it’s not just mindless action, it’s backed by an intriguing story. The plot is interesting and keeps you hooked right till the end. There’s no mystery in the movie. You know from the very beginning who is the hero, who is the villain, there are no senseless twists and turns and yet, this film keeps you engaged, courtesy its slick narrative and crisp screenplay. There’s raw action and there’s no one better than Vidyut in Bollywood to do this kind of daredevilry. His stunts are gravity defying and Vidyut performs them with such ease that it all looks extremely believable. He has reprised his role as Karan Singh Dogra and he impresses with both his acting and action. The dialogues too are dumdaar. I especially liked the one where he says ‘Aur kitne Kasab ko biryani khilayengey hum. ’Gulshan Devaiah has played the antagonist and he is fantastic. His character is sinister and dark. He is an educated and sophisticated terrorist, who kills without blinking an eyelid. Adah Sharma and Angira Dhar are playing the female leads and it’s good to see these two ladies beating the goons to a pulp. Director Aditya Datt should get a pat on his back for he has taken the Commando franchise to another level with this film. It’s evident from the movie that he had a strong hold on the script and he was able to extract good performances from his actors. The film has majorly been shot in London and the locations are beautiful. The makers have also taken several creative liberties and some things are beyond anyone’s comprehension but you have to take those things with a pinch of salt. Cinematography is superb and the background score is thrilling. The film sends out a good message and has its heart in the right place. Watch it if you are a Vidyut Jammwal fan or an action lover.
