Cigarette Ki Tarah Review-In Short

A young man falls in love with a mysterious woman and gets embroiled in a murder mystery

Cigarette Ki Tarah Review-Verdict
Though the plot has some good twists and turns, the overall effect is marred by bad performances, forgettable music and unintentionally hilarious dialogues and situations.

Cigarette Ki Tarah Review- Story Plot
Nikhil Dabur (Bhoop Yaduvanshi) is a MBA, who nevertheless hangs out with wastrels, drinks beer at shady dhabas and gets in fights with dreaded goons…all because of a tragic family history. When Dabur lands a job in Goa and moves there for work and to re-unite with his childhood friend Kanishka (Uvika Chaudhary), things seem to be looking up for him. While in Goa, he meets and falls in love with the mysterious Jessica (Madhurima Tuli), who initially resists his advances but later starts reciprocating his feelings.

However, Dabur's life again gets disrupted when his boss Danny D'Gama (Sudesh Berry) gets murdered and all clues point to Nikhil Dabur. If that was not enough, corrupt cop Rajesh Fogat (Prashant Narayanan) is out gunning for him and even Dabur's allies seem to have an agenda of their own.

How Nikhil manages to prove his innocence forms the rest of the plot.

Cigarette Ki Tarah Review-Performances
Without exception, every actor in the film succeeds in irritating you with his/her performance. Sadly, even an actor like Prashant Narayanan (who did a great job as the psychotic serial killer in Murder 2), seems to join the rest of the cast in their efforts.

Cigarette Ki Tarah Review-Direction
The only good thing that can be said about the film is that it does have a plot with an unexpected twist. However, apart from that, the film cannot really boast of anything as such. For some asinine reason, almost every situation has an actor telling some other actor about the ill-effects of smoking (I mean, we do get the point, for crissakes!)

Cigarette Ki Tarah Review-Final Word
Cigarette Ki Tarah is just like the habit of smoking- injurious and absolutely avoidable.
