Luv Chuv Tey Chicken Khurana Review Story Plot

Omi Khurana (Kunal Kapoor) is a London based wheeler-dealer, who had stolen money as a teenager from his family to escape the dreary life of a small time Punjabi village.

Though Omi does not want to go back to the place he ran away from, he is forced to return to his hometown to raise money as he owes some big bucks to a gangster. Omi's plan is to raise money by hook or crook and the lad has no compunctions about committing a theft once again, if that's what it takes.

While he is thinking of ways to raise money, he realises that his ailing grandfather's secret recipe for a dish named 'Chicken Khurana' is much sought after by a rival dhaba owner and Omi ropes in his childhood sweetheart Harman (Huma Qureshi) to come up with the perfect 'Chicken Khurana' and sell the recipe, though Harman is under the impression that Omi wants to revive his ailing grandpa's old dhaba.

How Omi undergoes a transformation in the process and starts connecting with his family once more is what the rest of the movie deals with…

Luv Chuv Tey Chicken Khurana Review Performances

This is one of the few movies, wherein the supporting cast puts in a better performance than the lead actors. Though Kunal Kapoor is easy on the eyes, the poor chap cannot act to save his life and Huma, who looks like a plump hen herself, is passable enough. However, it is the rest of the cast, right from Vinod Nagpal, who plays the ailing grandpa to Rajesh Sharma, who plays the allegedly 'mentally unstable' uncle Titu to Dolly Ahluwalia, a spiritual guru with a taste for weed laced cigarettes, who are responsible for the maximum chuckles and guffaws.

Sameer Sharma, who makes his directorial debut with this movie, has certainly come up with a wholesome entertainer with Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana. The film is humorous enough and except for the one fact that it tends to get slow at times, the movie is a fun watch for sure. The director has taken care to not get too stereotypical when it comes to portraying a Punjabi family, which is a welcome change. The climax is a bit clichéd, but the performances and the humour quotient more than make up for it.
