Twenty years after their last adventure in Dumb And Dumber, Hollywood’s favourite morons Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) team up once again for Dumb And Dumber To, another laugh riot for fans of the two characters.
Lloyd and Harry set off on another adventure to trace Harry’s daughter that he never knew about so that Harry could have a kidney transplant. What ensues is a ‘laugh a minute’ marathon as these two numbskulls get embroiled in a plot involving a million dollar invention, an eccentric scientist, his evil wife, their ditzy daughter and a deranged sidekick.
Fasten your seatbelts…for this ride might make you fall off your seats laughing.
To be honest, yours truly was somewhat skeptical about the effectiveness of a sequel to a movie, which was a hit two decades back and so, with much trepidation, this reviewer settled in his seat to watch the antics of the Dumb Duo. However, it was soon discovered that all fears were unjustified and how!

Jim and Jeff are still as charming as ever (though Jim is clearly the alpha male when it comes to comedy with his body language and his rubber face) and the gags are equally wicked and funny. People used to politically correct humour are advised to stay away as Lloyd and Harry do no spare anyone-not even the blind kid with his pet parrot from the prequel, who is all grown up now but still trying to save his birds from the two destructive dudes.
If Jim and Jeff were not enough, we also have Kathleen Turner, Rachel Melvin and Rob Riggle to provide laughs galore.
The Farrelly Brothers, who had directed the prequel, are at the top of their game with this sequel, though the humour might not appeal to the ‘sensitive’ types or those who prefer subtle humour. Believe us, there is nothing subtle when Lloyd and Harry are on the rampage…and so it should be!
