New Update

Sooryavanshi has been awaited since 2018 when Veer Sooryavanshi made a surprise entry in Rohit Shetty's Cop-Universe. In the climax scene of Simmba, it was clear that Akshay Kumar's Veer Sooryanashi isn't going to be the same cop we have seen before. He was supposed to be different from Singham and Simmba and after watching Sooryavanshi, it is confirmed. An interesting thing to note here is, Veer Sooryavanshi is a combo of both the Super Cops– Singham and Simmba. He is intense like Singham and at the same time he is funny & quirky like Simmba. Rohit Shetty gambles smartly with the idea of bringing together these three super cops in a mainstream entertainer and he adds couple of strong motives like Hindu-Muslim unity and a mandatory glorification of all the heroes in uniform who serve us day and night.publive-imageThe story of Sooryanshi begins with 1993 Bomb Blasts, that we have already noticed in the trailer. Veer Sooryavanshi, a honest ATS officer is given this tough task to find out about upcoming threats to the Mumbai City. As expected, we get to see assemble of three "S" cops– Singham, Simbba and Sooryavanshi in an action packed and explosive finale. The screenplay seems a little slow in the first half but then in the second half of the film, it gathers a nice momentum. Those last 20 minutes deliver a complete mass oriented blockbuster experience with lots of action, comedy and heroic stuff.publive-imageAkshay Kumar is the soul of the film and he carries Veer Sooryavanshi on his shoulders without any fumbles. His funny dialogues and seriously-quirky conversations keeps you engaged. It keeps the dark tone away to help the masses and it also adds enough material for family audience. Katrina Kaif plays his wife, Rhea. She looks gorgeous in every single scene but for a change, this character provides her a few scenes where she explores her acting talent. Sooryavanshi is boosted by the cameo roles of Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn and we are thankful that these two join Veer Sooryavanshi to create a phenomenal action riot in the climax. Moreover, there is a surprise for Singham 3 fans, which shouldn't be spoiled here.publive-imageSooryavanshi has a big cast to fill the negative bag. Jackie Shroff makes a powerful villain who doesn't come into the battlefield actually, yet leaves an impact. Supporting him, Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Sikander Kher, Nikitin Dheer are fine in their roles. The music adds more glamour and entertainment in the film. Aila Re Aila is a hit already, Mere Yaara is a beautiful romantic song and Tip Tip Barsa Paani is there right after Interval point as a pleasant surprise. The makers have kept it a secret for a long time and lot of people were asking about the same, so don't worry. The song is there and it is Super Hot.publive-imageThere are few mistakes in the film that can't be overlooked but as we are talking about a mass film and not an art cinema, it's easy to forgive them. Rohit Shetty repeats those old cliches to satisfy his hardcore fans and maybe that's what they want. The cinematography is superb in action sequences while the background is kind of stimulating dose.publive-imageComing to the plus points, Rohit Shetty challenges himself to deliver some socially important stuff here. Like in Simmba, he tried to convey the seriousness of 'Rape Cases In The Country', here he brings patriotism and nationalism. He makes sure that every single thing is enjoyed by masses and family audience right from high octane action scenes to songs to clap-worthy dialogues. Finally, a relief for cinema industry as Sooryavanshi brings that much needed commercial blockbuster back in theatres. We have been missing a big event film like this for almost 20 months, and here it is. Sooryavanshi worth every single penny of your purchase, so watch this Blockbuster to make your Diwali special. From here on, it's a New Beginning for Bollywood and cinema lovers.publive-imageRATING - 3.5/5*
