Yet another 'room-mate comedy' based in Delhi, one might sigh as Sharafat Gayi Tel Lene starts. But wait…there is more than what meets the eye.
Prithvi Khurana (Zayed Khan) is a nerdy corporate drone with Clark Kent-glasses, who shares a Delhi flat with a slacker Sam (Rannvijay) and dreams of saving enough money and marrying his lady love (Tena Desae).
Prithvi's predictable life is turned upside-down when he discovers crores of rupees in his bank account and gets a phone call from 'Dawood', who instructs him to deliver the money to his people at various places on the basis of a commission.
Though initially reluctant to do so, Prithvi agrees to the 'don's' demands to keep his girlfriend out of harm's way. As Prithvi and Sam get embroiled in this plot with the help of a banker (Anupam Kher), they also struggle to find a way to get out of this mess before the authorities swoop in on them or 'Dawood' decides to do away with them.
Will the duo manage to save the day and themselves? Well, watch the movie to find out...

Zayed looks likeable at times in his nerdy avatar and his glasses whereas Rannvijay manages to scrape by. Tena is average and Kher is dependable as usual. The film concept is not bad, but somewhere, the execution manages to make it less impressive than what it could have been.
To its credit, the film picks up pace in the second half and moves at a brisk pace. However, considering it is a comedy, the humour could have been better worked on, because most of the jokes fall flat. Also, the comic chemistry between Zayed and Rannvijay doesn't come across naturally. Maybe a bit more of the Delhi Belly style banters between the two might have improved things.
The twists and turns in the second half are decent enough and though the final confrontation between the protagonist and the antagonist might remind you of the end sequence of Kunal Kemmu-starrer Blood Money, the climax evokes a reluctant smile.
