One Two Three Movie Review: One Two Three RUN!!!

We accept that in Hindi films, comedies are not expected to be great cinema and their sole purpose is to entertain, although of course we do have classics like Angoor, Golmaal, Chupke Chupke and Andaz Apna Apna , which were comedies that deserve to be on the list of some of Hindi cinemas best films. With a film like One Two Three, although a great cinematic experience was never expected to begin with, the film is unable to even fulfil the basic requirement of being entertaining; forget entertaining, the film is not even tolerable!

To sum it up, the film resorts to cheap jokes, and physically vulgar antics in order to try and get the audience to laugh. Instead, we cringe through this film which is about three men who have the same name, Laxmi Narayan, and coincidentally all land up at the same hotel in Pondy for their individual work. However, their mistaken identities create confusion and chaos in their respective tasks and the people they were to meet there. There is also a stolen diamond, a few more absurd characters with problems of their own and you have a film which has the audiences looking for the exit door 15 minutes after it started.

All the actors are probably at their worst although you almost feel like not blaming them considering the half-baked screenplay, horrible dialogues and technically inferior production values.

Sadly, there is not a single reason why we would recommend that you see this film, and it's a directorial debut that we hope Ashwini Dheer puts behind himself immediately and we hope he bounces back with a better film the next time around.
