Kalyug Movie Review: Not bad...

Kalyug is a tale about the porn mafia. Kunal Kemu and Smilie fall in love and get married. They go to a hotel for their honeymoon night.

Ashutosh Rana, a supplier of porn films, is hovering around, and films Kunal and Smilie in their most intimate moments, and Kunal and Smilie are arrested by the police. Kunal is charged with the crime of seducing innocent girls and making blue films. Police forces Smilie to turn approver. Utterly shocked Smilie commits suicide. Kunal's lawyer manages to get him released on bail. The porn film is being shown on a website originating in Genoa. The rest of the tale is about Kunal taking his revenge. He goes to Genoa. He meets Emran Hashmi who runs a sex store, and helps Kunal in tracking Deepal Shaw who is connected to the website, the film supplier Ashutosh and the boss (Amrita

Singh). Where the production values are good, it is a typical film about the menace of blue films, where the subject is handled with the proper input of action.

Performance-wise, Kunal Kemu does a good job, and he looks like a promising star. Among other debutants, Deepal Shaw is fair, and Smilie portrays the girl next door image, well. Where Amrita Singh's come back is impressive, Emran Hashmi is too able to lift the scenes in his brief appearance. As the director, Mohit Suri does a good job.
