New Update

Aksar is a thriller, where Emraan Hashmi plays a fashion photographer who is also a womanizer. Udita Goswami was a top model in her day, and Emraan?s regret lied in the fact that she had never agreed to be his model. Presently, Udita is married to NRI tycoon Dino Morea and lives in UK. Udita has an extremely hostile attitude towards Emraan because he had ditched her close friend Tara Sharma who had attempted suicide. Dino comes to Emraan and he hires him for a strange kind of a service. He wants Emraan to seduce Udita and make her fall in love with him so that she divorces Dino. Emraan goes to UK and stays with Dino as a guest on the pretext of making a coffee table book of the photos of his mansion. Emraan succeeds in seducing Udita and she falls in love with him. But she refuses to divorce Dino. Emraan also refuses to go back to India. Dino is stuck with an unfaithful wife and her lover. What he does to solve the problem, is what the rest of the story is about.

Production values are very good. K. Raj Kumar?s cinematography is competent and he has done a good job in capturing London locations. Himesh Reshammiya?s music is a major plus point and soul of the film as the numbers ?Jhalak dikhlaja? and ?Prem dhun laagi? are already super hits.

It is a well made romantic thriller where the suspense is well maintained, and the interest of the viewer is kept alive. The story idea is rather far fetched, but it is an acceptable cinematic license.

Performance-wise, Dino Morea shows his maturity as an actor and impresses. Emraan Hashmi is natural in a role tailor made for him. As the director, Ananth Narayan Mahadevan shows better command over the medium and does a remarkable job with ample support from Sujit Sen?s script.
