Kill Review Movie Talkies
Kill Review: Nikhil Nagesh Bhat brings a sensational action drama for modern cinema lovers with Kill, starring Lakshya in the lead role alongside Tanya Maniktala and Raghav Juyal. The standard of action movies in India is stuck to a certain level, and that's why the audience hasn't been able to show major interest in this section and literally moved their attention to Korean and Hollywood action flicks. They say we can't make such gore and hard-hitting action movies, right? Well, KILL is here to kill them all.Kill has a superior action that hasn't been attempted or witnessed in Indian cinema. Many Indians are fans of John Wick for the same reason. Kill brings that unattended pattern to Indian cinema. Audiences are sure to forget the John Wick pattern after this because Kill is so desi and so Indian that it instantly wins that Indian viewer in you. Many scenes break your nerves and stop your heartbeat for a moment. Yes, it's that crazy!
Amrit (Lakshya) is an NSG commander who receives a message from his girlfriend, Tulika (Tanya Maniktala), that her engagement is fixed with someone else by her father. After having a mutual discussion about running away on a different day, Amrit is on his way to his camp but is on the same train as Tulika. A local dacoit, Fani (Raghav Juyal), and his gang board the same train to loot people. The gang wants to take Tulika and her father as hostages for ransom, but Amrit stands in his way. With a lot of efforts, Amrit manages to save Tulika, her father, and a few other passengers, but only for a while. What happens next should be experienced by you, and you are sure in for a bloody ride of your life.
Kill is about 100 minutes long, and the screenplay has a solid grip. There are no moments for you to look away from the screen; rather, it's a different ballgame altogether about whether or not you'll be able to keep your nerves normal. A few scenes don't fit well in the screenplay, as they spoil the freakishly amazing momentum, but that's hardly for 5 minutes in the overall runtime. Kill boasts itself with a never-seen-before action masterclass that sets a new benchmark for action movies in India. You'll forget all the Indian action films you have seen so far and remember Kill as a classy update.
Lakshya makes a stunning debut, and this is truly an unforgettable experience for any newcomer. When he is in a rage, he is unstoppable. Those scenes are entitled to receive hooting and clapping from the viewers. He also excels in emotional scenes, leaving audiences heartbroken with the pain Amrit is feeling. Tanya makes a beautiful heroine with some cute dialogue and a couple of struggle scenes that have great value. Raghav Juyal is our new Desi villain. His dialoguebazi, his cruelty, and his brutality are what make the character complete. Ashish Vidyarthi brings in his experience; Abhishek Chauhan is worthy; and Harsh Chhaya has done well as the carrying and defensive father. There is a big bunch of supporting cast, and they all have done much better than what one can expect from less-known faces.
Rafey Mehmood's cinematography is fantastic, as we feel the close-up shots of those blood clippings, and that scene of hanging the dead bodies truly leaves you shattered. The action choreography is just next level. It needs to be said repeatedly that the kind of action scenes and violence Kill has is UNHEARD and UNBELIEVABLE. The background score and sound design only help in elevating those spine chilling scenes.
Kill has many things that leave an undeniable impact on viewers and other filmmakers. Nikhil Nagesh Bhat has made a film of a lifetime. He has shown the entire nation and the filmmakers in India how to make action films. Enough of that mindless and crap action we have been hyping recently. It's time for a change, for a shift. Kill brings that much-needed shift to Bollywood. People will always remember Kill for its gore and brutal action that wasn't tried before, wasn't done before, and wasn't experienced before. Be seated for 100 minutes and prepare yourself for the greatest action mania in Indian cinema.
