Lakeer Ka Fakeer Movie Review-In Short:
The film revolves around the lives of three friends trying to make it big in a locality notorious for unlawful activities.
Lakeer Ka Fakeer Movie Review-Verdict:
Though the director has shot the film in a gritty and authentic way, the plot of the story doesn't have much of an impact…
Lakeer Ka Fakeer Movie Review-Story Plot:
Fakeer (Ajaz Khan) is a small-time goon, who stays in the dreaded 'Number 3' area, which comprises notorious areas like Dongri and Nagpada. Fakeer spends his days getting into fist-fights with other goons in the locality and hanging out with Suleiman Keeda (Vicky Ahuja) and Chotu Mobile (Javed Haider).
When an unscrupulous cop blackmails him into turning an informer, a reluctant Fakeer agrees to do so in order to save himself and his friends from police harassment. How this decision turns his life upside down forms the rest of the story.

Lakeer Ka Fakeer Movie Review-Performances And Direction:
Most of the actors in the film have done a decent job and director Zubair Khan has come up with a gritty and authentic fare in Lakeer Ka Fakeer. Khan has taken care to capture the atmosphere of areas like Dongri and the attention to detail as far as language, diction, body language and milieu is concerned, is indeed noteworthy. However, the plot of the story moves at a sluggish pace and at times, the film seems more like a documentary on the South Mumbai Muslim areas. There really seems to be no point to the story and it does seem like Khan spent more efforts on the look and presentation of the film rather than the plot.
Lakeer Ka Fakeer Movie Review-Final Word:
People residing in the Dongri-Nagpada-Do Taanki area might enjoy it because it reminds them of the areas they grew up in, but if you are looking for a gripping story, Lakeer Ka Fakeer is not for you.
