An absolute animation treat for the eyes, the film starts with the depiction of Hanuman's superhuman powers that he possessed even as a child. A naughty child who teased sadhus to the young boy who mistook the sun to be a fruit and swallowed it, Hanuman takes the journey of this mythological hero from his mischievous childhood days to the valor that he portrayed during Rama's war against Ravana. The movie highlights Hanuman's flight to Lanka to carry Rama's message to Sita, the burning of Lanka, and his utter devotion towards Rama.

The film is a commendable attempt to push India on the global animation map. Technically, it is a well-made film and Vasant Gajanan Samant's animation is at par with the best. But considering it is a children oriented movie, as a director Samant's treatment could have been livelier.
