An extremely young achiever, Shreya Ghoshal started her musical odyssey at the tender age of 4 when she started training under her mother. She first came into the public eye after winning the 'Children's Special' episode of a very popular singing reality show in 1996.

After shifting base from Rawatbhata to Mumbai, Shreya learnt the nuances of playback singing from ace music director Kalyanji Shah and participated in the singing reality show again, but this time as an adult.

It was here that she was spotted by B'Town filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who gave Shreya her first break when he asked her to be the voice of Paro in his magnum opus Devdas. The then 16 year old sang five songs and went on to win 2 Filmfare Awards and the National award for bairi piya' when the film released in 2002.

Since then, there has been no looking back for this young Bengali vocalist. She's crooned in a various languages including Assamese, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu amongst others and worked with the crème de la crème of the Indian music scene. She has sung for more than 180 films and her numbers continue to rule the music charts.

Some of her super hits in recent years include yeh ishq hai from Jab We Met, zoobi doobi from 3 Idiots', bahara from I Hate Love Storys and tere liye from Prince amongst others.
