Son of the celebrated writer Salim Khan, Arbaaz Khan joined the industry with his first film Police Public. Then came movies like Mehendi and Sham Ghansham which did not do too well at the box office either. Though he was recognized for his acting abilities in the thriller Daraar (1996) with Rishi Kapoor and Juhi Chawla, Arbaaz was still looking for a hit to come his way. With Hello Brother and Pyaar Kiya to Darna Kya, things were looking up. He was seen in both the moves with elder brother Salman Khan and though Pyaar Kiya to Darna Kya was a runaway hit, it couldn’t do much for Arbaaz. He was seen in movies like Maa Tujhhe Salaam, Yeh Mohabbat Hai, Soch, Qayamat, and Wajahh: A reason to kill. His recent movies include Kuch Naa Kaho, Garv and Hulchul.
He made his debut as a producer in the 2010 Salman Khan-blockbuster, Dabangg, which was directed by Abhinav Kashyap. In 2012, his latest film, Dabangg 2, a sequel to Dabangg, was also his directorial debut. Dabangg 2 garnered a huge opening at the box-office.
