The gorgeous Aditi Rao Hydari, who is Aamir Khan's wife Kiran Rao's first cousin, made her acting debut with the 2007 Tamil film Sringaram. The film was based on classical dance and the actress, who had been learning dance from Leela Samson since she was six years old, was chosen to play the lead role of a 'devadasi'. The film garnered a lot of critical acclaim. Her first film to release, however, was the 2006 Malayalam film Prajapathi. She played a supporting character in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Delhi-6 in 2009.

She was next seen on the big screen in 2011. She bagged a lot of praise and awards for her role in the Sudhir Mishra film Yeh Saali Zindagi. In the same year, she also did a special appearance in Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar.

In 2012, she starred opposite Ali Zafar in London, Paris, New York, and also sang a couple of songs for the album. In 2013, she was seen opposite Randeep Hooda in Murder 3. Her performance was much appreciated by one and all. She will next be seen in the Akshay Kumar film Boss.
