Stree 2 Has A Massive Monday; Highest Raksha Bandhan Day Total Ever!

Stree 2 Box office update:

Stree 2 continues to do smashing business at the Indian box office. The film had done a business of around 195 crore nett over the extended weekend, and it isn't slowing down on weekdays.

Stree 2 has massive Monday collections of around 35 crore nett and might add 1-2 crore more from night shows. This is, by far, the biggest total ever scored on the Raksha Bandhan holiday in Bollywood. The date isn't like a full holiday, but it definitely gives a 20% boost as families come out to watch the film in cinemas.

Last year, Gadar 2 collected over 8 crore nett, but the Raksha Bandhan Holiday was not in the first week. A year before that, Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan failed to make big numbers. Stree 2 has done phenomenal business considering that the film was coming after a huge weekend.

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's horror comedy is going to set some crazy records in the first week for any mid-budget film in Bollywood. The first week total of the film is set to cross 265-270 crore nett. Believe it or not, 99% of mid-budget films struggle 2 do that much business in the liftetime run.
