IFFM 2024 Winners: The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM 2024) awards ceremony took place in Melbourne on Friday night. The event celebrated the best of Indian cinema in grand style.
This year's award ceremony was a grand affair too, and we have some major talents being appreciated for their work. Musical legend Dr. AR Rahman bagged the top honours for his incredible achievements in his field.
Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan took home the Best Actor award for his performance in Chandu Champion, while acclaimed filmmakers like Kabir Khan and Nithilan Swaminathan were jointly awarded Best Director for their exceptional work on Chandu Champion and Maharaja, respectively.
In addition to these major awards, two films received special recognition: Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail was felicitated for its inspiring narrative, and Kiran Rao’s female-centric drama, Laapataa Ladies, was honoured for its innovative approach and storytelling.
