John Abraham has been making one film after the other on incidents which every Indian feels proud of and he is coming, once again, on Independence Day to hit our patriotic notes with his next, Batla House.
The movie revolves around DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, who kills two Indian Mujahideen members during Operation Batla House. However, his act of bravery is opposed by some leaders for their own political gains. How Yadav stands up for his team and his pride forms the rest of the plot.
John Abraham is playing the lead role and has given a power-packed performance. Mrunal Thakur is playing his supportive wife and is looking cute. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Ravi Kishan and Nora Fatehi among others.
Based on true events, the film has been shot in Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Jaipur and Nepal. Operation Batla House, took place on 19 September 2008, against Indian Mujahideen terrorists in Batla House locality in Jamia Nagar, Delhi, in which two suspected terrorists, Atif Ameen and Mohammad Sajid, were killed while two other suspects, Mohammad Saif and Zeeshan, were arrested, while one accused Ariz Khan managed to escape.
Directed by Nikhil Advani, the movie will release on August 15.
