Vidya Balan, whose last Bollywood film, Tumhari Sulu released in 2017, is now planning to explore the digital medium through a web series based on the life of former Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi.
Talking about it, at a recent event, the acting powerhouse said, “I am trying to do a web series on Indira Gandhi but right now we are just ‘trying’ to do it, let’s see how things turn out because a series is a lot of work. A lot of people come together to make it even more than a film. So it takes a lot of time but jab karungi, achey se karungi.”
Vidya’s last release was late actor-turned-politician N. T. Rama Rao’s biopic N.T.R: Mahanayakudu and she had played the role of his wife,
Basavatarakam in it. She will be next seen sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha and Nithya Menen in Mission Mangal.
