When asked to comment on Bollywood not supporting her movie, the curly-haired actress said, “How will it benefit me? I have already received 3-4 National Awards. At the age of 31, I am a filmmaker, so what will these people promote me? It would be enough if they are able to promote themselves but is Rani of Jhansi my chachi? She is as much yours as she is mine.”
“These people are scared because I talked about nepotism. Sabki hawaiyaan uddh gayi hai. Everybody has ganged up against me as to why she spoke against nepotism. It’s like in a class of 60, 59 kids are bullying one child. How would you feel? Aren’t they ashamed? Some of them are my grandfather’s age. They are after my life, don’t they have any shame? Don’t they realise it’s not about me?” she further added.
“I have told them in their faces that I don’t want to work with them. We have made this film for the forthcoming generations so, that they know how Rani Laxmibai sacrificed her life for India’s independence. Earlier I used to call them out for sexism, nepotism, pay disparity but now I will be after them aur main inki vaat laga dungi, I will expose them all,” stated the bold actress.
Kangana never minces her words and we love her for being the daredevil that she is.
