Sushant Singh Rajput’s upcoming film was earlier titled Kizie Aur Manny but the makers of the movie have now changed the title. The film, which is the official remake of The Fault In Our Stars, has now been titled Dil Bechara.
The makers changed the title after music maestro AR Rahman shared a song composed by him and penned by Amitabh Bachchan with them. As they heard the song, they found the title in it and felt that that the ‘fun and vibrant’ number perfectly embodied the theme of their movie. Fox Star made an official announcement writing, “Dil ki baatein dil hi jaane! #KizieAurManny is now #DilBechara.”
The movie went on floors in Jamshedpur, last year and will mark the directorial debut of casting director, Mukesh Chhabra. Chhabra revealed that while the earlier title was based on the names of the movie’s lead characters, they later felt that the audiences would only be able to connect with it after watching the movie. Therefore, they changed it to ‘Dil Bechara’ as it is self-explanatory.
Sushant will be seen romancing debutante Sanjana Sanghi in the movie. The film is slated to release in mid-2019.
