Shahid Kapoor recently revealed that he was offered a role in Aamir Khan’s cult film, Rang De Basanti however, he turned it down and now, her regrets not being a part of the blockbuster.
The actor was offered the role of Karan Singhania in the Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra-directed movie. Shahid turned down the offer and the role then went to South actor Siddharth. Sid did full justice to the role and made an impact with his performance.
The 2006 release also starred Kunal Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Soha Ali Khan, Atul Kulkarni, R Madhavan, Alice Patten, Waheeda Rehman and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles. The film also went on to win the National Award for being the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
Meanwhile, Shahid is looking forward to the release of his next Kabir Singh, which is a remake of Telugu super hit Arjun Reddy. It has been directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who had also helmed the original. Kabir Singh also stars Kiara Advani and will release on June 21.
