While 2018 gave us several sleeper hits, it was a rather dull year for the Khans, whose films tanked miserably at the box-office. While Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero was a box-office disaster, Aamir Khan’s Thugs Of Hindostan too left the audiences disappointed and Salman Khan’s Race 3 also didn’t live up to the expectations.
While talking about it Salman Khan said that it’s not that SRK and Aamir are choosing bad films. He said that they are legends and will always come back. He further added that there are times that the films that he chose didn’t work and then one good film happened and he was back.
Salman said that it’s not Aamir and SRK who should be worried but him because they are known for their craft but he is surviving on ‘mediocre talent and luck.’ He said that he doesn’t even know what he is surviving on but he is.
He said that among his last few releases, Tubelight is considered a flop and even that did a business of Rs. 110 crore in domestic market. He said that the film didn’t work as people wanted to see a happy film on Eid and they became depressed seeing it however, the film’s reputation grew post it its theatrical release and that people are appreciating it after watching it on digital platforms.
Salman will be next seen Bharat and currently he is shooting for Dabangg 3 in Madhya Pradesh.
