Rishi Kapoor, Tabu, Madhur Bhandarkar Pay Tribute To Sanjay Chhel’s Father Chhel Vayeda

Writer-director Sanjay Chhel‘s father Chhel Vayeda, 79 years old, passed away on 12th November 2014. He had made a household name for himself as a set designer in Gujarati theatre with his collaborator Paresh (their credits together read as Chhel-Paresh). He was an art director for more than 700 dramas and 35 films in 5 languages. He was active till the end and met a peaceful death.

On Friday night, quite a few film and theater celebrities paid tribute to him at Bhaidas Hall, Juhu, Mumbai. Some of the prominent ones who stepped in were Rishi Kapoor, Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Prem Chopra, Madhur Bhandarkar and Sharman Joshi amongst others.
