Actor Ranveer Singh, who will be next seen former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan’s ‘83’, which is based on the Indian team’s victory at the 1983 Cricket World Cup, started prepping for the film in a unique way.
Ranveer Singh and Kabir Khan specially travelled to Lords’ in London to soak in the atmosphere of the iconic stadium to witness the Test Match between India and England as Khan wanted Ranveer Singh to see a live match there with none other than cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar as part of his prep.
Kabir Khan took to Instagram to share, “Sachin was 9 years old when he saw on television Kapil’s Devils win the World Cup in 1983 right here at this ground. That win inspired him to want to play for India. 35 years later we kick off the prep for our film 83 at the Lords… Can’t get better than this can it? @ranveersingh @sachintendulkar #indiaenglandseries #lords #filmprep”.
‘83’ is slated to hit screens on April 5 next year.
