Director Nitin Kakkar has won the audience’s hearts with the trailer and songs of his upcoming love story Notebook and the filmmaker claims that it’s not a remake of Thai film, Teacher’s Diary but an adaptation.
Talking about the movie, Kakkar said, “It’s an official adaptation of Teacher’s Diary, it’s not a remake. We have taken the core of two people from there but character-wise and story-wise, we have a little more to offer.”
“Thailand and Kashmir are poles apart culturally so, our characters could not have been the way they were in Teacher’s Diary. Here the characters are different, their conflicts are different so that kind of changes the film, it doesn’t remain a remake, it becomes an adaptation,” he further added.
Produced by Salman Khan, the film marks the debut of Mohnish Bahl’s daughter Pranutan Bahl and Khan’s childhood friend’s son, Zaheer Iqbal and the duo’s fresh pairing and crackling chemistry has already got people talking.
Helmed by Nitin Kakkar, Notebook is presented by Salman Khan Films and is a Cine1 Studios Production. It is produced by Salma Khan, Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde and is all set to hit the screens on 29th March 2019.
