At a time when most Hindi films are being converted to 3-D such as Haunted-3D, RA.One, Don 2 and Dangerous Ishhq, the film about the original Indian superhero Krrish 3 is reportedly going to be made only in the 2D format. The film is the third in the franchise, the first two being Koi… Mil Gaya and Krrish.
A source was quoted saying, "The film that has international action director Tony Ching (Shaolin Soccer, House of Flying Daggers) on sets is currently being shot in 2D format only. There may be a 3D version closer to the release date, depending on the market requirement then. However, as of now, the Roshans have no plans to divide their audience by releasing two versions."
The film, starring Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut, and directed by Rakesh Roshan, is slated to release in 2013 during Diwali. It is expected to have the finest visual effects for any Indian film. However, it is primarily being targeted at the children as a 2D film. 2D or 3D, we’re certain that Krrish is going to leave the audiences, spellbound.
