Veteran actor Sunil Dutt passed away on May 25, 2005 after suffering a heart attack at his Mumbai residence. On his 14th death anniversary today, his son Sanjay Dutt shared a childhood picture with his fans.
In the throwback family picture, a young Sanjay is seen standing with his mother, Nargis Dutt, father Sunil Dutt and sisters Namrata and Priya Dutt. Along with the black-and-white image, an emotional Sanju wrote, “The pillars of our family! I miss you Mom & Dad.”
At the time of his death, Sunil Dutt was the Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports in Dr. Manmohan Singh-led UPA government. Post his death, his seat in the Parliament was contested by his daughter Priya Dutt, who won and was a Member of Parliament till May 2014. Priya was defeated by Poonam Mahajan in 2014 in Mumbai North Central constituency and Priya lost to the former again in 2019 general elections.
Sanjay is looking forward to the release of Panipat, Prassthanam and Sadak 2.
