In 2003, Ken Ghosh launched Shahid Kapoor with his directorial Ishq Vishq, which also starred Amrita Rao and Shenaz Treasury. The film not only gave Bollywood two new stars but also us teenagers butterflies in the stomach.
The makers of the movie are now planning to come up with a sequel to the film. The producer of Ishq Vishq, Ramesh Taurani confirmed the reports and said that the story of the second edition is currently in scripting stage and much like the original, can be ‘about a teenage romance or a college romance.’ Taurani is hopeful that they will lock the script in the next two-three months and then the search for the lead actors and the director will begin.
The original was a coming-of-age drama and revolved around two childhood friends, who later fall in love. Taurani revealed that Shahid was very young back then and he had asked him to wait for two-three before he could launch him however, when Ghosh narrated the story to Taurani, he felt Shahid would be perfect for the movie.
We would love to see newcomers in the sequel too and nobody from the Nepo Gang, please…
