Censor Board Trims Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt’s Kissing Scene In Gully Boy

And the sanskari Censor Board is back! Not that we were missing it, anyway. Members of the Central Board Of Film Certification recently saw Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy staring Ranveer Singh & Alia Bhatt and they have awarded it a U/A certificate.
The CBFC has trimmed a kissing scene between the film’s lead pair Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh and has also come down heavily on cuss words. The board has not only asked the kissing scene to be cut down by 13 seconds but has also asked the makers to make it a wide shot instead of a close-up of the two actors. However, that’s not all! The CBFC has also demanded the makers to drop liquor brand Royal Stag’s name from their list of brand partners.
Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film is inspired by the life of street rappers Naezy and Divine. Gully Boy made its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival, on Saturday and it will hit the screens on Valentine’s Day.
