Director Nitesh Tiwari’s last release Dangal went on to break all box-office records and the filmmaker is set to reunite with his Dangal star Aamir Khan, once again.
Nitesh’s next is titled Chhichhore and we hear that Aamir has agreed to do a cameo role in the movie. We hear that the role is very ‘special’ and Aamir has loved the idea. Once the formalities get done, they will decide on the dates and shoot his portions. Interestingly, Sushant Singh Rajput, who is playing the lead role in Chhichhore, had an extended cameo in Aamir’s PK.
Nitesh’s campus drama also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Prateik Babbar, Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin and Siddharth Narayan among others. The makers of the movie introduced the lead characters of their film a few months ago and they have some quirky names like Sexa, Acid, Mummy etc and Nitesh took inspiration from his IIT day for the nicknames of his lead characters.
Elaborating on the same, Tiwari had shared, “I have spent four years in hostel and during my IIT days, it used to be a tradition to call out names and tag people. The nicknames that we gave ranged from being conventional to extremely weird depending on peoples’ names and the context behind. The names you have seen in the poster originate from my hostel but we have tweaked them to suit the characters. For example, ‘Acid’ is a very angst-ridden guy, ‘Mummy’ is the homesick guy and misses his mother the most. The strange thing is that your so-called roomies will always call you by your nicknames or rather, I still do that. I have my friends from IIT Bombay and their nick names are Guppa, Gucci, Puke, B-Zero, Dard Kumar, Skinny, Bhindi, Danda and many more.”
The film is slated to hit the theatres on August 30, 2019.
