Atul of the musical duo Ajay Atul, who've made their mark in Marathi cinema are on a high since their score in Singham has fetched appreciation from music lovers and the promos have served to revv up the curiosity on the Ajay Devgn starrer.

Revealing how they clinched the deal on the Rohit Shetty helmed cop drama, Atul states, "When we had gone to meet Rohit Shetty, we had no ready Hindi tunes for him to hear. Actually, we'd done the music for Gayab, but the fact remains that it was way back in 2004 and the sounds of that time were quite different at that time and a lot has changed since then."

Providence seems to have favoured the musical duo rather superbly. "When Rohit met us, we made him listen to the good tunes that we had composed in Marathi. He listened to them very attentively in his car and in a span of 15 minutes he told us that we would be composing the music for Singham."

Adds Atul significantly,"I also knew that both of us would definitely deliver as regards Singham. There was a very definite Maratha flavour to it. The hero Bajirao Singham played by Ajay Devgn was a Maharashtrian cop and about 25 per cent of the dialogues were in Marathi too. We were confident of the music, but what we are really grateful about is the kind of confidence that Rohit Shetty placed in us. "
