'Punchy' Crescendo: Devgn, Bhardwaj Rebond At Audio Launch 

Old friends, actor Ajay Devgn and director Vishal Bhardwaj bonded big time at the music launch of Luv Ranjan's directorial debut, Pyaar Ka Punchnama. In fact, even as the audience present were responding to the music videos playing with hoots and catcalls, the duo was deep in conversation with each other. Planning another Omkara, perhaps?

In the meanwhile, the hilarious promos of PKP, loaded with comic punch lines, opened to a raucous response from the people in attendance at the event. Apart from a debutant director, the film also has a first time producer, as filmmaker Kumar Mangat's son Abhishek Pathak is all set follow in daddy's footsteps.

Speaking at the event, Pathak 'blamed' Devgn for getting him out of college and into movies, saying it was the Omkara star who asked him, "padh likhke kya kar lega? (what will you achieve by studying?)" Devgn, of course, denied all charges, saying Abhishek was already pretty bad at academics when he met him!

Described by Ajay as 'a film about suffering boys made by a bunch of suffering boys', Pyaar Ka Punchnama stars newcomers Kartik Tiwari, Rayo Bhakirta, Divyendu Sharma, Sonalli Sehgal, Nushrat Bharucha and Ishita Sharma, while Hitesh Sonik and Clinton Cerejo contribute the music. Written and directed by Luv Ranjan, the film will see wide release on May 20, 2011.
