Johnny Walker to Be Revived

By MovieTalkies.com, 19 December 2007 Johnny Walker, Amitabh Bachchan Percept is reviving Johnny Walker but it seems that Amitabh Bachchan and Sujit Sarkar are no longer a part of it. Instead of the Big B, the film could see either Anil Kapoor or Sanjay Dutt. Precept has admitted that Kapoor has been approached and Dutt is being considered as well. The film is a strenuous travelogue, involving a 6,000 km walk from Manali to Madurai through Nagpur and Jaipur. It requires block dates since the look cannot change. It seems that the Big B's schedule is so hectic that he wanted to do the film when he had time. But Precept does not want to wait for so long. Bachchan had been signed on his birthday last year and it was quite a nostalgic moment but unfortunately things did not work out. The parting of ways, however, has been cordial and Bachchan has returned the signing amount to Percept, who hope to collaborate with him on another project soon. Sujit Sarkar, the earlier director, is also out of the film. After Yahaan, he was reasonably free, but it seems that he has now signed a film with UTV and also has a commitment with Tips. The director does not have any dates to spare right now. The script is now with three established directors and the production house hopes to be able to make an announcement regarding the cast and the director soon. Once the lead actor is in place, the search for the heroine will begin. If the choice is Anil Kapoor, they may just narrow down on Madhuri Dixit or Tabu as the pair has to spark off romance and chemistry from the word go. The production house hopes to go on the floors by April next year and hit the theatres by next Diwali.
