Shahid Kapoor To Play Maharashtrian In 'Phata Poster Nikla Hero' 

It is a well known fact that actress Rani Mukerji will be seen playing the role of a Maharashtrian woman in upcoming flick Aiyyaa. Now, sources claim that Shahid Kapoor, who will be seen in Kumar Taurani's Phata Poster Nikla Hero, will also play a Marathi mulga in the film.

A source attached to the film was quoted saying that Kapoor will be seen playing a boy from a Marathi family, who stays in a typically rustic village of rural Maharashtra before the family moves to Mumbai.

The film is reportedly about Shahid's character, who is fascinated with the film industry and dreams of becoming an actor despite the disapproval of his mother, played by actress Padmini Kolhapure.
