NYPD To Protect Movie Halls Post 'The Dark Knight Rises' Shooting

Following the recent tragic event, when a lone gunman opened fire in a movie hall in Aurora, Colorado during the screening of the latest Batman flick The Dark Knight Rises, officials of the NYPD (New York Police Department) have decided to provide protection at all theaters in its jurisdiction to prevent any similar incidents.
The gunman, later identified as James Holmes (24), had stepped in the movie hall when the movie was being screened on Friday late night and opened fire from an automatic weapon after throwing gas canisters to create a panic. Around 12 people were killed and 59 got wounded in the shooting spree, which is being called one of the deadliest massacres in Colorado.
