"Not Just Saif, There Is Chemistry With Dimple And Boman Too" - Deepika On 'Cocktail'
By MovieTalkies.com, 11 July 2012
While one can see an obvious chemistry between Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty, what is adding further zing to the 'cocktail' is the presence of senior actors Dimple Kapadia and Boman Irani. For Deepika it was no less fun to find her in their company because while Dimple frequently reminded her of 'wearing dhang ke kapde', Boman was forever embarrassed in her presence and wanted her to bring her legs closer. While all of this was strictly for camera of course, one can well expect some some real fun that would have transpired on the sets.
"I had always been such a huge fan of Dimple and nowthat I have worked with her, I admire her even more. More than loving her for the actor that she is, what has also struck me always is that she is such awonderful human being. As for Boman, he has always been a riot. I have shared screen space with him before as well and I was just so happy to be getting an opportunity to work with him. Guess the chemistry that you see in the film is not just between me and Saif but also with Dimple and Boman", she chuckles.
Now that the film is all set to release in a few hours from now, one can pretty much see a stamp of 'new age' imprinted all over it.
"Yes, but while 'new age' and all is fine, in heart the film is as 'desi' as it gets. On hearing songs like Daru Desi or Tumhi Ho Bandhu, you know that ultimately the film would be catering to Indian sensibilities. These songs aptly defined what the film stood for because they had their soul intact", she says.
We concur as well.
