Rohit Shetty's much anticipated laugh riot Bol Bachchan starring Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan, seems to have landed in trouble after a Nagpur based builder Appu Wadhwani filed a case against the makers of the film for the return of the distribution rights token money of Rs. 1.1 crore.
Sources claim that the distribution rights of the film, which is said to be loosely based on Hrishikesh Mukherjee's 1979 comedy Gol Maal, were sold to Wadhwani for a whopping sum of Rs. 53.2 crores. However, after Wadhwani paid the token amount of Rs. 1.1 crores, the deal fell through as Wadhwani felt the conditions of the contract were one-sided. Confirming the news, Wadhwani was quoted saying, "I wrote several letters and sent many text messages to the makers of Bol Bachchan regarding my money but they kept dilly-dallying. It is clear that they don't want to give the money back. I have no option now but to file a legal case against them. In our complaint, we have requested that Bol Bachchan should not be allowed in theatres until our dues are paid. We await justice."
Apart from Devgn and Bachchan Jr, Bol Bachchan also stars Asin and Prachi Desai.
