A few months ago, it had been reported that actor Sunny Deol would be playing a vital role in upcoming film Traffic, which is the remake of a Malayalam flick directed by Rajesh Pillai. However, sources now claim that Deol has lost the role to Ajay Devgn because of the former's high remuneration fees.
Buzz also has it that Devgn will not only act in, but also co-produce the movie with Endemol India, a TV production company, which is venturing in filmmaking. It seems that Devgn was highly impressed after seeing the original flick and offered to co-produce the remake.
The movie Traffic spans a period of 12 hours and revolves around different characters, whose lives get intertwined due to a traffic jam and an accident. Devgn will reportedly play the role of a superstar who is on his way to attend his film premiere and apart from Devgn, the film will star actors like Rajat Barmecha (of Udaan fame), Minissha Lamba, Paresh Rawal, Prakash Raj and Jimmy Shergill.
Devgn will be next seen in Rohit Shetty's Bol Bachchan co-starring Abhishek Bachchan and also will be seen playing the role of a Sikh for the very first time in his home production Son Of Sardaar, which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha.
