Javed Akhtar Stands By Aamir Khan In Medical Malpractice Issue

We had just reported some time back that filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, alongwith some medical institutions, were miffed with Aamir Khan for lambasting the medical fraternity for malpractices on his television show Satyamev Jayate, with some medical insitutions going on to demand that the perfectionist actor should tender an apology for his words.
However, veteran writer-lyricist Javed Akhtar seems to be siding with Aamir Khan on this issue and the Sholay writer took to Twitter to express his displeasure at this sequence of events by writing, "The Indian Medical association wants Aamir to apologise for exposing corruption in their profession. That is really sick. It is not Aamir Khan but some immoral dishonest greedy and corrupt doctors who are insulting the medical profession and many honest doctors."
Aamir Khan's television debut Satyamev Jayate tackled the issue of healthcare and malpractices in the medical profession in one of the episodes of the show, which created quite an uproar across the nation.
