Akshay Kumar Congratulates Former Girlfriend Shilpa Shetty Over Birth Of Baby Boy 

Actor Akshay Kumar, who was once dating actress Shilpa Shetty, has congratulated her over the birth of her son. Shilpa gave birth to a baby boy at Hinduja hospital in Khar, Mumbai on May 21.

"It is very good news. I hope everyone is healthy and happy and they remain so ever," the Rowdy Rathore star was quoted as saying.

After his split with actress Raveena Tandon, Kumar was apparently engaged to Shilpa. However, the relationship did not work out as Akshay wanted his wife-to-be to quit acting and Shilpa refused.

Akshay went on to marry Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia's daughter Twinkle Khanna in 2001 while, Shilpa wedded London-based businessman Raj Kundra in 2009.
