Arjun Kapoor Clears The Air On 'Salman Khan-Twitter Promotions' Issue
By MovieTalkies.com, 11 May 2012
A few days ago, a piece of news that said Salman Khan refused to promote newbie Arjun Kapoor on Twitter went viral, leading to speculations as to why would Bollywood's Dabangg refuse to promote his own protégé on the eve of his debut release. However, Arjun Kapoor, the son of Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor and the debut male lead of Ishaqzaade, now claims that Salman was never asked by father Boney to promote him on any social networking platform.
Arjun Kapoor was quoted saying, "Ishaqzaade is a YRF product and Salman bhai doesn't have to promote me. YRF is a big company with reasonable amount of people already knowing about the film whether Salman bhai tweets about it or not. The media is saying that Salman doesn't want to promote me on Twitter, but he was never asked to do it. Media persons are just making assumptions since Salman has tweeted about other people in the past."
Arjun Kapoor will be seen playing the role of Parma, a happy go lucky lout in Ishaqzaade, a love story set against the backdrop of lawlessness in small town India.
