Imran Khan's laugh riot Delhi Belly, which was a major success in India due to its risqué content and songs, will soon go Far East to give the Chinese a dose of some 'Delhi' humour, it seems. Sources have confirmed that the film, which starred Kunaal Roy Kapur and Vir Das alongwith Khan, will soon be released in Hong Kong.
Not only this, it is being said that the film will also be dubbed in Cantonese with a view to tap the Chinese market to it's optimum potential before it releases in theatres over there on May 10, 2012. Confirming the news, Amrita Pandey, the Vice-President (International Distribution and Syndication) of UTV Motion Pictures was quoted saying, "Hong Kong has a large young local and expat population. Delhi Belly has done good business in cities like London, Singapore, Dubai, New York, Sydney and Melbourne. We hope it reasonates with the audiences in Hong Kong as well."
In the past, films like 3 Idiots, My Name Is Khan and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara have been also released in Hong Kong theatres and Delhi Belly will be the fourth Bollywood film to be screened over there.
