Amitabh Bachchan Changes Voice For 'Department'

Amitabh Bachchan is known for reinventing himself for every role. Be it growing a ponytail for his role in Cheeni Kum, undergoing a massive transformation for playing the character Auro in the film Paa or changing his dialogue delivery in the film Agneepath (1990), Bachchan has made every character that he plays, his own.
He does it again, this time for Ram Gopal Varma's Department. Instead of his trademark baritone, Big B will be heard in quite a different pitch and tone altogether to suit his street-smart gangster-turned-politician persona.
RGV was quoted saying, "Yes, it was Amit Sir's idea. Since his character has a gangster background, he wanted to make it edgier. He not only wanted to change his voice, but also spoke the Hindi language differently."
