If you have watched the trailer of the upcoming Yash Raj Films' Ishaqzaade, you must have noticed that Arjun Kapoor, who plays Parma in the film, has Dabangg written in Hindi on the seat of his pyjamas.
Many felt that the reason for this was that it was Salman Khan, the star of the film Dabangg, who was the inspiration behind the character of Parma in Ishaqzaade.
However, Arjun Kapoor clears the air saying, "Instead, Parma is someone who is a big fan of Salman Khan. The Dabangg aspect comes in from the character itself, derived by Habib Faisal (director of the film). I think it is a film that Parma would have seen at least 10 times. Also, considering Chulbul Pandey was a character that was very flamboyant just like mine is in this film, Habib Sir felt it could be a possibility. Besides, it was the costume designers Varsha and Shilpa who have beautifully embedded that particular look in the film."
Let's hope that Ishaqzaade manages to replicate the success of the Salman Khan blockbuster as well!
