Rani Of 'Ghulam' Turns Year Older

Born to a prestigious film family, Rani Mukerji reportedly had no aspirations to become an actress, but nevertheless joined films at the insistence of her family members and made her debut with Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, followed by Kuch Kuch Hota Hai an year later. The Karan Johar romance made her famous as an actress and also bagged her a Filmfare Best Supporting Actress award.
Rani went on to act in many films and some of her successful films were Yuva, Bunty Aur Babli, Ghulam, Saathiya and Black, which garnered rave reviews for the light-eyed actress. Recently, Rani Mukerji was seen playing the role of a brash and tough as nails television reporter in the critically acclaimed film No One Killed Jessica, which revolved around the infamous murder case where a model Jessica Lall was shot dead by the spoilt son of a Minister after the former refused to serve him a drink at a party.
Rani Mukerji will be next seen playing the role of a Maharashtrian woman in Aiyya and will also be seen opposite Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor in Reema Kagti's upcoming suspense drama Talaash.
