A few days after Agent Vinod star Saif Ali Khan allegedly punched NRI businessman Iqbal Sharma at a five star restaurant following a dispute, the Nawab of Pataudi now reportedly wants to put the incident behind him and move on, even if it means making peace with the man he reportedly assaulted.
Referring to his plans to settle the matter with the complainant Sharma, who filed a case of assault against the actor, Saif Ali Khan was quoted to have said, "We are in talks and I hope to sort it out among ourselves more constructively." Saif further reiterated that the incident was not a publicity stunt to promote his upcoming spy thriller Agent Vinod. "Neither me nor my film needs such uncalled for attention," he was quoted to have added.
The 'brawlgate' incident occurred when Saif, Kareena Kapoor and a few other friends had gone to Wasabi in Taj for dinner. At the time, Iqbal Sharma and his family, who were seated at an adjacent table, complained about the noise that Saif and his friends were making, leading to a dispute between the two groups. After Saif allegedly punched Sharma on his nose, the latter filed a police complaint against Saif, who was arrested and then released on bail.
