Saif Ali Khan, who was booked under Sections 325 and 34 of the IPC, following a complaint by NRI businessman Iqbal Sharma, for physical assult, has been granted bail.
Saif Ali Khan was taken into custody by the cops at his lawyer's office and was later granted bail on a surety bond of Rs. 3000. Though his arrest was inevitable, the section under which Saif Ali Khan was booked is bailable.
The Nawab of Patuadi landed into trouble when he got into a scuffle with Sharma on Tuesday at a five star hotel in Mumbai. Following the assault, the businessman lodged a complaint against Saif Ali Khan and his friends for verbal and physical abuse. An FIR was registered against Saif Ali Khan and his friends under sections 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intent) of IPC.
Saif Ali Khan, whose dream project 'Agent Vinod' will hit the theaters on March 23, 2012, has not spoken anything on the issue yet.
