    Race 2 Review

Race 2 Movie Review- In Short: A deadly game of double-cross and betrayals involving some old and new players…

Race 2 Movie Review-Verdict: One of the most stylish movies made in the recent past, Race 2 is a treat for fans of the thriller genre

Race 2 Movie Review-Story Plot: Armaan Malik (John Abraham) is a criminal mastermind, who runs a successful business with the aid of his equally devious sister Elena (Deepika Padukone). When Ranveer Singh (Saif Ali Khan) approaches Armaan through Robert D'Costa (Anil Kapoor) with a lucrative offer, Armaan is curious as well as skeptical of his motives.

To further complicate matters, Ranveer seems to be getting close to Elena as well as Omisha (Jacqueline Fernandez), who is Mallik's moll. How these characters indulge in a game of betrayals and double-crosses to achieve their own objectives forms the rest of the plot.

Race 2 Movie Review-Performances: Without a doubt, the actors (both male and female) are eye-candy for the audience. Saif plays the anti-hero with élan, though in certain scenes, he seems to resemble his Agent Vinod avatar. John Abraham too looks good on screen but the beefcake still needs to brush up his acting skills and manage to not look so wooden. Anil Kapoor is the ultimate delight to watch…with his witty one-liners and his roguish charm, the 'jhakaas' actor will have everyone chuckling merrily. As far as the female brigade is concerned, the actresses don't get to emote much but they do make up for it by looking utterly gorgeous. Deepika, Jacqueline and Ameesha provide enough 'hotness' to make the screen sizzle.

Race 2 Movie Review-Direction: Fast cars, gorgeous women, death-defying stunts, snazzy gadgets and exotic locales…these are the hallmarks of a good Bond movie usually, but Abbas-Mustan manage to work the same ingredients to come up with a 'racy' thriller for Bollywood (pun unintended). Apart from being visually appealing, the film has enough twists and turns to keep you wondering about what surprises lurk around the corner. On the flip side, maybe the director duo should have paid a little more attention to the detailing (for example: why would characters based in Turkey or Europe get their news updates from a Hindi news channel is anybody's guess). However, all said and done, Race 2 is a perfect weekend getaway.

Race 2 Movie Review-Music: With songs like the intoxicating lath lag gayi to the upbeatparty on my mind as well as the remix version of Allah duhai hai, Race 2 emerges a winner on the musical front too.

Race 2 Movie Review-Final Word: For a thrilling experience and some eye-candy fix, do go and watch the latest Abbas-Mustan flick.
