Sachin-Jigar And Priya Get It Right....again

Films coming from the house of Tauranis have time and again boasted of good to excellent music. With a keen eye on popular music doing the trick for them, the makers have seldom delivered anything below expectations. One expects the same from the soundtrack of Ramaiya Vastavaiya as well which has been put together by Sachin-Jigar with Priya Panchal as the lyricist. The team has been doing well over last couple of years in coming up with some chartbuster tunes and if the start is anything to go by, the same would pretty much follow for Ramaiya Vastavaiya as well.
The album embarks on a winning start with Jeene Laga Hoon setting the tone for this film which marks the debut of Girish Taurani, son of Kumar S. Taurani. Just like is the core requirement for any newcomer who is stepping his feet in Bollywood, it is melody that takes centre-stage as this excellent composition is accentuated further by the vocals of Atif Aslam and Shreya Ghoshal. Both seep themselves pretty much into the Bollywood scheme of things and if there was a song made for running around the trees, standing in the middle of a desert or serenading the leading lady on a moonlit night, this one is it.
Soon after there is some fun on store with Mika Singh coming on the fore. As expected, it is time to bring on a foot tapping outing with Priya Panchal writing Hip Hop Pammi. While the hook is just correct, the beats are catchy enough to pull you back into the song. Once Monali Thakur comes on the fore, it is time for some 'Pammiji - Mummyji' action that adds on to the Punjabi flavour of the track. This one would be further enticing when aided by some good choreography.
